In-Vivo Animal Core (IVAC)
The In-Vivo Animal Core (IVAC), part of the Unit for Laboratory Animal Medicine (ULAM), serves as a fee-for-service resource supporting pre-clinical and translational research. Using University resources and accomplished ULAM professionals specializing in diverse fields, IVAC optimizes the design, execution, interpretation, and reporting of in-vivo studies to guide projects through early translational milestones. Services that can be utilized individually or combined as a full service based on the needs of your research project include:
- Pre-clinical project consultation and study design
- Animal diagnostic laboratory testing
- In-vivo animal handling, including blood collection and test article dosing
- Necropsy, histology, and immunohistochemistry preparations
- Digital slide scanning
- Clinical pathology and anatomic pathology evaluation and reporting
