Building 10

South Atrium Area Floor Renovation

A project to replace the flooring in the Building 10 South Atrium area will be commencing soon. The project will replace the floor tiles in the open area outside the ground floor conference rooms and will be undertaken as part of the Building 20E/25 renovation project.

The floor replacement will be broken into two phases. Phase 1 will take place this fall and will take approximately 8 weeks to complete. The majority of the work will take place during evenings and weekends.
A construction barrier will be built around the phase 1 work site to provide protection against dust and odors and therefore pedestrian traffic between Buildings 10 and 18 will not be possible on the ground floor (see map) from Friday, September 6th for the duration of phase 1.

Every effort will be made to minimize the impact to the conference rooms within this area when possible. We have begun communicating directly with faculty and staff who have conference rooms reserved.

Details of the conference room impacts can be found below.

Phase 2 of this work will be part of the final components of the Building 20E/25 renovation project. Phase 2 will commence in winter 2020 and the details regarding these impacts will be communicated once confirmed
