As part of the university's mission to lower carbon emissions, pilot program is launching that will reduce the schedule of the HVAC system that serves the first floor office area of Building 18 beginning on Monday, February 13th through February 2024.
If you are working in this area outside of regular business hours (7AM - 5Pm) and feel that your work area is too hot or too cold, please press the "unoccupied override" button on the thermostat located on the column outside office 137. This will bring the HVAC system on for two hours. See graphic for more details.
This pilot project will be tested in one area (specifically the Medical School Facilities office area). If the pilot is successful in reducing energy while maintaining occupant comfort, the plan is to expand the program to more areas. Thank you for your participation!
