U-M Office of the Vice President for Research
The Office of the Vice President for Research (OVPR) has central responsibility for nurturing excellence in research, scholarship and creative activity across the entire University of Michigan campus. OVPR oversees research policy, provides central administrative services in support of faculty research, and manages activities related to compliance and the responsible conduct of research. OVPR also oversees several independent interdisciplinary research units, as well as units that support technology transfer and economic engagement. In addition, OVPR works with deans and department chairs to develop and support interdisciplinary research initiatives and symposia.
