New LED lighting is scheduled to be installed in the NCRC Parking Structure (NC100) commencing Tuesday, May 28th. The project will provide brighter, more energy efficient lighting which will be further enhanced through painting the interior. The project includes the installation of a generator that will provide backup power to the lighting circuits in the event of a power disruption.
The installation of the lighting will require the rolling closure of sections of the parking structure (one bay at a time, approximately 60 spaces) starting with the first floor (see project phase plan below). Each bay will be closed for approximately one week and the lighting installation is anticipated to conclude at the end of August 2019.
Restricted spaces will be relocated to the nearest available location as required. Gold spaces will be the first to be impacted and will be relocated one bay to the north on Tuesday, May 28th.
The painting work will commence following the lighting installation and will take place during weekends. A communication will be sent out once that work is scheduled.
Please watch for workers and equipment in the area during this time.
