Curious about the attention your research is getting social media, news, and policy papers? The university recently subscribed to a one year pilot of the database Altmetric Explorer, which aggregates the attention U-M research articles receive online outside of peer-reviewed literature. Participants will learn how to search for social media and other attention at the researcher and department level, as well as save searches, create alerts and reports, and understand best practices for getting the most out of Altmetrics Explorer. Participants should bring their own laptops for the hands-on portion of the class.
