If you’re looking to make a change for your health, the Diabetes Prevention Program offers support to help you move more, eat well, manage stress and reduce your risk of developing type 2 diabetes. U-M Premier Care covers the full cost of the program with no out-of-pocket cost for eligible members living with prediabetes. This February, get started with the program at NCRC through the Diabetes Prevention Center.
The Diabetes Prevention Program is intended for people who are living with higher than normal blood sugar – also called “prediabetes” – who have not yet been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. To learn more about your risk factors for prediabetes, and to see if you could benefit from the Diabetes Prevention Program, take the short quiz available at hr.umich.edu/diabetes-risk.
CORRECTION: If you are a benefits-eligible faculty or staff member, participating in the Diabetes Prevention Program also qualifies for MHealthy Rewards.
