Protein Folding Diseases Initiative Symposium

The University of Michigan's Protein Folding Diseases Initiative will be holding its 4th Annual Symposium on Thursday, October 12, from 9:00 am until 4:30 pm, at the A. Alfred Taubman Biomedical Science Research Building (BSRB), Kahn Auditorium, on the University's Medical Campus.

This symposium will be highlighting the four research hubs with lectures by members of each hub and a data blitz with junior faculty, senior postdoctoral fellows, and senior graduate students. Our keynote speakers will be Steven McKnight, Ph.D., Professor and Chairman of the Department of Biochemistry at UT Southwestern, Beverly L. Davidson, Ph.D., Professor of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania, and Jang-Ho Cha, M.D., Ph.D., Global Head Translational Medicine, Neuroscience at the Novartis Institute for BioMedical Research. We will also feature a panel discussion on Drug Discovery in Academia and Industry.
