Single Cell Analysis Interest Group Meeting

Tuesday, August 29, 2017 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm

Location

NCRC, Building 10, Research Auditorium

Details

Investigators meet to discuss single cell analysis with a focus on single cell transcriptional and proteomic analyses. We cover multiple aspects including single cell isolation, analytic methods and bioinformatic analyses. To date, we have focused on stem cells, CTC, solid tumor cells and immune cells. We welcome additional interest in these or other areas.

Our guest speaker, Boris Umylny, Ph.D., CTO Smpl Bio will present, "Push-button, end to end software platform for single cell genomics: for biologists and bioinformaticians."

Boris Umylny is the CTO at Smpl Bio. Prior to joining Smpl Bio, Boris was Director Bioinformatics at the National Center for Genome Resources (Santa Fe, NM). Boris has been in the life sciences industry for over a decade, and has successfully developed and deployed genomic big data solutions for Fusion Systems, GeneWiz, and Lumenogix. Boris holds a Ph.D. (Cell and Molecular Biology) from the University of Hawaii, and BS (Computer Science) from Columbia University.
