The Michigan Institute for Clinical & Health Research (MICHR) provides funding for research that uses principles of community engagement and addresses community-identified health priorities.
   
MICHR invites community partners and academic researchers to attend this workshop, Developing a MICHR Community-Engaged Pilot Grant Proposal: Stories and Strategies for Success, to learn about funding opportunities that encourage community engagement and strategies for developing a competitive MICHR pilot grant application.
   
Prior awardees will share stories from their community-academic partnerships and tips for success. MICHR staff and faculty will also be present to provide feedback about proposed research and partnership plans. Participants are encouraged to bring any materials that might be useful in describing their project ideas.

This free workshop is open to community partners and academic researchers both within and outside of U-M. The event takes places from 9 - 11:30 a.m. on July 18 at the North Campus Research Complex. Register and learn more here.
