Computational Biology Interest Group

Tuesday, March 14, 2017 9:00 am to 10:00 am

Location

Building 18, Room 103

Details

Come to a monthly meeting for NCRC researchers interested in computational biology (broadly defined). Meetings will be held on the second Tuesday of each month, at 9:00am, in Building 18, Room 103, with coffee and bagels provided by the BRCF Bioinformatics Core.

The purpose of the group is to get computational biologists together to share work experience and expertise, to improve communication across individuals and groups doing related work. We are targeting researchers at NCRC, though we won’t be checking IDs and we want to be very inclusive. If you work in computational biology (bioinformatics, medical informatics, biocomputing, cancer informatics, etc.), or if you are otherwise interested in computational biology, we want to meet you. The format we envision is for each participant to take a few minutes to describe their work and a current project, research question, paper, or grant proposal.
