The PAC provides advice to the Executive Director of NCRC on the programmatic fit of individual proposals requesting space at NCRC, as well as the overall portfolio mix of programs within NCRC.
PAC members represent the views of, and are supported by, the University of Michigan Executive Vice President of Medical Affairs, the Medical School, the College of Engineering, the Provost and the Vice-President of Research. PAC members advise the NCRC Executive Director about how well a proposal fits with the overall research strategy of the individual schools and programs across the University. During the advisory process, PAC members ask themselves and others:
• Why should this particular proposal be based at NCRC rather another location?
• How does the program align and leverage existing activities at NCRC?
• How can NCRC add value to the program?
Monthly meetings last between 60 and 90 minutes, depending on the agenda.
